The TIRA K3500RUF wheel set balancing machine is a powerful complete solution for the precise balancing and measurement of wheel sets. Designed for internally and externally mounted wheel sets as well as for gear wheel sets with a component weight of up to 3.5 tons, the system offers maximum flexibility – regardless of wheel disc diameters, axle lengths, and track gauges. Thanks to the machine concept specially developed for the railway industry, all common wheel set variants can be mapped in a uniform system concept without manual setup effort – without compromise.
At the heart of the system is a continuous, fully automatic process that combines imbalance measurement with concentricity and runout measurement on wheel and brake discs. Round run and lateral run are measured using servo-electric, non-contact measuring systems, which achieve precise and reproducible measurement results – for both new and used wheelsets, with high process reliability and system availability during operation.
The system concept is rounded off by an elevated track system in combination with a specially developed lifting table. This allows installation without a machine pit, which significantly reduces the customer's construction costs and simplifies integration into existing production environments.
